Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team during night shifts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency nursing, critical care, and patient assessment, with a passion for delivering high-quality care in fast-paced environments. Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations, to determine acuity levels and prioritize care. Administer medications and treatments accurately according to physician orders, including IV infusions, injections, and medication management. Utilize advanced skills such as airway management, suturing, and aseptic techniques to stabilize patients in emergency situations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with best practices and hospital protocols. Maintain detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families during stressful or critical moments. Respond swiftly to trauma cases, including Level I and Level II trauma center scenarios, utilizing trauma medicine protocols and critical response procedures.

Schedule:

7pm-7am (Shift diff. for nights/weekends) Skills Proven experience working in emergency medicine or trauma centers with familiarity in Level I or Level II trauma protocols. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Epic for accurate documentation and patient record management. Strong critical care skills including ventilator management, cardiac catheterization support, and infectious disease care. Expertise in performing procedures such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheterization, and tube feeding administration. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Ability to perform complex patient assessments while demonstrating physiology knowledge and acute pain management techniques. Excellent communication skills for triage processes, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
