Job Description

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) - Rural Primary Care Position Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our rural healthcare team. This position focuses primarily on providing comprehensive care to the adult population, with some acute pediatric visits. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a rural community setting. Key Responsibilities Provide primary care services for adult patients, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment. Evaluate, diagnose, and manage common medical conditions across the adult lifespan. Assess and treat occasional acute pediatric illnesses and minor injuries. Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and laboratory results; skilled in venipuncture Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness strategies. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community health outreach activities. Qualifications Current and unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner license. Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. DEA registration preferred but not required. Previous primary care or rural health experience preferred but willing to accept new graduate applicants. Ability to care for patients independently while recognizing when consultation or referral is appropriate. $48.00 - $55.00 per hour
