Full-Time About Us At Y Plastic Surgery, we are a boutique, patient-focused plastic surgery practice dedicated to delivering exceptional surgical and aesthetic outcomes with personalized care. We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and patient-centered Aesthetic Pre & Post-Op Nurse / Injector to join our growing team. This role combines clinical expertise, aesthetic artistry, leadership, patient education, and sales performance to create an elevated patient experience from consultation through recovery and maintenance. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about aesthetics, injectables, patient relationships, and delivering outstanding results in a fast-paced, high-touch environment. Position Overview The Aesthetic Pre & Post-Op Nurse / Injector is responsible for managing the patient journey before and after surgery while also performing injectable and aesthetic treatments. This role requires strong clinical judgment, exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build long-term patient relationships that support patient satisfaction and practice growth. The ideal candidate is experienced in injectables, highly organized, sales-minded, and comfortable taking initiative in both patient care and office leadership. Key Responsibilities1. Pre-Operative Patient CareComprehensive Patient Assessments Conduct thorough patient health assessments, including medical history reviews and physical evaluations. Screen for health factors that may impact surgery or aesthetic treatments, including smoking status, obesity, medications, and comorbidities. Identify concerns that may require physician review prior to surgery. Pre-Operative Education & Documentation Educate patients on surgical procedures, risks, recovery expectations, medications, and post-operative care instructions. Ensure completion of all required documentation including consent forms, medical questionnaires, and surgical packets. Contact patients the day before surgery to review instructions and answer questions. Send follow-up communication via email and text including: Surgical facility address Directions and parking information Arrival time and preparation instructions Thoroughly document all communication and patient interactions in Nextech. Pre-Surgical Testing & Coordination Order and track all required pre-operative testing including: Bloodwork EKGs Chest X-rays Medical clearances Follow up with laboratories, physicians, and patients to ensure all requirements are completed prior to surgery. Document all testing and communications in Nextech. Compression Garments & Surgical Supplies Order and coordinate post-operative garments and supplies including compression garments and recovery accessories. Ensure all patient supplies are prepared and available prior to surgery. Pre-Operative Photography Take standardized pre-operative photographs for documentation and marketing purposes.
Ensure photos are taken:
Under consistent lighting From standardized angles Using appropriate disposable garments Obtain patient consent for before-and-after photography usage. 2. Injectables & Aesthetic ServicesAdminister Aesthetic Treatments Perform Botox, dermal filler, and other injectable treatments safely and effectively. Develop customized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and facial anatomy. Deliver natural-looking, results-driven outcomes while prioritizing patient safety. Patient Education & Follow-Up Provide detailed post-treatment instructions and monitor patients for complications or side effects. Schedule follow-up appointments and maintenance treatments proactively. Build strong patient relationships to encourage retention and loyalty. Rewards Programs Manage and apply patient rewards programs including Alle and other promotional incentives. Educate patients on available savings opportunities and treatment packages. Reviews & Patient Experience Encourage patients to leave online reviews following treatments and positive experiences. Maintain a luxury-level patient experience through attentive communication and follow-through. 3. Sales Goals & Patient RetentionSales Performance Meet or exceed monthly sales goals for injectables, skincare, aesthetic services, and retail products. Identify opportunities to upsell treatments, memberships, skincare, and package offerings. Reporting & Metrics Track personal and team sales performance using Nextech and injectable rewards platforms. Review retention data and patient conversion metrics regularly. Patient Retention Develop long-term patient relationships through exceptional care and follow-up. Utilize loyalty programs, promotions, and consistent communication to drive repeat business. 4. Social Media & MarketingSocial Media Engagement Create and post educational and results-driven social media content 3-4 times per week. Showcase before-and-after photos, treatment education, patient testimonials, and recovery journeys (with consent). Marketing Collaboration Work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns, promotions, and seasonal initiatives. Participate in quarterly marketing meetings and contribute ideas for practice growth. Photography & Content Creation Collect and organize before-and-after photos for website and social media use. Coordinate content sharing with marketing vendors and website teams. 5. Leadership & Office ManagementClinical Leadership Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and high-quality patient care. Serve as a clinical leader and point of contact in the absence of the Practice Manager. Team Collaboration & Training Mentor medical assistants and clinical staff. Assist with onboarding and training related to injectables, workflows, and patient experience standards. Office Operations Help maintain efficient office flow, scheduling coordination, and patient satisfaction. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on excellence and accountability. 6. Inventory Management & ReportingInventory Oversight Monitor inventory levels for: Injectables Vitamins and skincare Pronox supplies Post-operative garments Medical and aesthetic supplies Coordinate with vendors and representatives to maintain adequate stock levels. Reports & Analysis Generate reports related to: Sales performance Inventory usage Patient retention Product trends Assist leadership in identifying growth opportunities and operational improvements. 7. On-Call ResponsibilitiesPatient Support Participate in biweekly on-call rotations for post-operative patient support and urgent concerns. Respond promptly to patient calls, including evenings and weekends when scheduled. Coverage Coordination Coordinate with providers and leadership to ensure continuity of care during vacations or absences. 8. Clinical Documentation & ComplianceDocumentation Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all patient interactions, procedures, and follow-ups. Ensure all treatment plans, consent forms, and post-operative instructions are documented thoroughly. Compliance Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Follow all state and federal regulations related to injectables and aesthetic procedures. 9. Continuing Education & Professional Development Attend trainings, conferences, webinars, and continuing education courses related to aesthetics and injectables. Stay current on industry trends, safety standards, and emerging aesthetic treatments. Maintain all required nursing licenses and certifications.
