Category Nursing - RN - Infusion Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional patient care within a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment. Leverage your expertise in infusion therapy, oncology, and pediatric nursing while working alongside a dedicated clinical team. This contract opportunity requires a compassionate RN who can provide specialized support to children and adults undergoing complex treatments.
Qualifications:
Active, unrestricted RN license Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in infusion therapy Background in oncology and pediatric nursing settings Strong IV insertion and medication administration skills Ability to work effectively with children and families facing difficult diagnoses Evidence of current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Excellent communication and documentation abilities Adaptability and commitment to high standards of patient safety
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and administer infusion treatments, including chemotherapy and other specialized medications, with a focus on both pediatric and adult oncology populations Assess patient conditions and monitor responses to treatments, promptly addressing any adverse reactions Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and home care requirements Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans Maintain accurate, detailed patient documentation and uphold all regulatory and facility protocols Provide emotional support for patients and families throughout the treatment process This pivotal role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a crucial stage of each patient's healthcare journey.
