Job Description

Full-Time Registered Nurse Fulton Science Academy Private School Alpharetta, GA Fulton Science Academy Private School is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to support the health and wellness of our school community. This position follows a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 , based on qualifications and experience. Fulton Science Academy is a private STEM school serving gifted and high-achieving students in a diverse and supportive learning environment. Job Type Full-time Schedule Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Pay $60,000-$70,000 per year Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required Pediatric and/or school nursing experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration Experience with electronic medical records preferred Responsibilities Promote health and wellness throughout the school community Provide direct care to students who are ill, injured, or have medical needs Administer medications in accordance with school medication authorization forms Provide first aid and assess student injuries and illnesses Respond to medical emergencies and contact emergency personnel when needed Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student illness, injury, and pickup needs Maintain accurate and confidential student health records Monitor and maintain student immunization compliance Review and manage student health care plans, allergy action plans, and emergency medication needs Maintain updated lists of students with allergies, medical conditions, and medications on campus Oversee medication storage and documentation procedures Order and maintain clinic and emergency medical supplies Ensure AEDs are maintained and ready for use Serve as the school contact for health-related concerns and medical compliance Coordinate annual health-related trainings for faculty and staff, including CPR/AED and emergency medication administration Support field trips by preparing medical supplies, medication, and health information as needed Coordinate with administration, counselors, athletic staff, and families regarding student health needs Assist with communicable disease reporting and school health protocols as required Serve as site administrator for Magnus Health and monitor completion of required student medical forms Develop backup procedures for nurse absences and train designated staff as needed Perform other duties as assigned by school administration Preferred Qualifications Experience in pediatric, school, or community health nursing Familiarity with Magnus Health or similar student medical record systems CPR/AED instructor certification is a plus Benefits Benefits available based on school policy.
