  • Contract Overview Join our dedicated pediatric home care team as a Pediatric Home Care Nurse RN, providing compassionate and expert nursing care to children in their homes.
This flexible position offers four hours per week, allowing you to make a meaningful difference while maintaining work-life balance. You will deliver personalized care tailored to each child's unique needs, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and developmental evaluations tailored to pediatric patients. Administer medications via various routes such as injections and IV infusions, following strict aseptic techniques and medication protocols. Manage airway support devices, including ventilators and oxygen therapy, ensuring proper functioning and patient safety. Provide specialized care for children with complex medical needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, ostomy management, and infection control measures. Collaborate with families and caregivers to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with medical orders and family preferences. Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate families on medication administration, disease management, and safety procedures to promote independence and confidence in home care settings. Skills Proven experience in pediatric nursing with knowledge of child development and age-specific health considerations. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient record management. Strong skills in IV insertion, medication administration, and aseptic technique to ensure safe patient care. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special healthcare needs is highly desirable. Familiarity with critical care procedures including ventilator management, acute pain management, and emergency response protocols. Knowledge of infection control practices aligned with NCQA standards and CDC guidelines. Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a compassionate manner.
