Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner

SouthlandMD is recruiting for a full time APP to join our team in Bainbridge, GA! Must have prior emergency medicine experience as an APP to be considered and be proficient in procedures such as central lines, intubations, and chest tubes. Position is a 7on/7off schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care services to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and medical offices.
• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
• Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
• Perform procedures such as spinal taps, neonatal ventilator management, and catheter care.
• Provide specialized care for specific populations, such as working with people with developmental disabilities or pediatrics.

Qualifications:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the appropriate specialty area (e.g., Family Practice, Pediatrics).
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills in primary care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Skills:

• Previous experience working in an emergency department
• Proficiency in performing procedures such as neonatal ventilator management, alimentation, spinal taps, and catheter care.
• Experience in pediatrics or medical office settings.
