RN - EMERGENCY ROOM - Union General - Full Time

Job Description

RN Position Purpose:
Responsible for the delivery of patient care that promotes safety and well-being of all patients. Makes staff assignments as directed if serving in a Charge Nurse Role. Gives guidance and direction to personnel
  • LPN's, CNA's, and non-licensed personnel, provides direct patient care, assists in new staff orientation and collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.
Assist in coordinating the operation of a shift on the nursing unit. This should be performed under the direction of the Nurse Manager and in accordance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act. Must be proficient in verbal and written communication. Must be able to work at a personal computer. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and to be able to lift, push, bend and carry loads of up to 50 pounds; must be able to lift and move patients. Must be able to concentrate despite frequent interruptions. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. Minimum 1yr nursing experience required, with ER experience preferred.
BLS, ACLS, PALS
required or within 90 days of hire. TNCC and ENPC preferred. Must have current RN license in state of GA or compact RN license. Education
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Minimum of Associates Degree of Nursing
  • Preferred Bachelors Degree of Nursing Experience:
    Desirable characteristics include at least 1 year of experience in a hospital or medically related environment with ER experience preferred. Licenses/Certificates
  • Registered and Licensed by the State of Georgia. Current certification in CPR, or completion of CPR course (AHA) within 60 days of employment, ACLS certification, or ACLS obtained within 90 days of employment. PALS preferred. Working Conditions
