Gifted Healthcare is seeking a Travel Labor & Delivery RN for an assignment in Canton, GA. In this role, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns through labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum. Responsibilities include continuous maternal-fetal monitoring, medication administration, assisting with deliveries and obstetric emergencies, patient and family education, and accurate EMR documentation. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum nursing care to diverse patients Monitor maternal and fetal status, including vital signs, fetal heart tones, and contraction patterns Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidural support per physician orders and hospital protocols Assist physicians and midwives with vaginal deliveries, potential C-sections, and obstetric emergencies Educate and support patients and families on birth processes, pain management options, and postpartum care Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses in the EMRCollaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and hospital policies Respond rapidly to obstetric emergencies such as hemorrhage, preeclampsia, and fetal distress Support Gifted Healthcare's clinician-centered culture, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and flexibility as a travel RN Required Skills Labor and delivery nursing Maternal-fetal assessment Electronic fetal monitoring Obstetric emergency management IV therapy and medication administration Postpartum and newborn stabilization Patient and family education Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Infection control and patient safety Interdisciplinary team collaboration
