MedCare Staffing, Inc., a Veteran-Owned Small Business providing nationwide healthcare staffing solutions, is recruiting a Family Nurse Practitioner for a school-based health clinic near Chatsworth, GA. This assignment begins as a locum tenens placement with strong potential to convert to a permanent position for the right candidate.

Position Overview:

The provider will deliver primary care to a school-based patient population ranging from children age four through adults; infant care is not part of this role. Patient volume is light and predictable, averaging approximately five patients per day. Coverage is needed through May 2027, with a schedule of five days per week on eight-hour shifts.

Practice Setting:

This site operates without onsite support staff, so the provider must be comfortable and confident working independently. Clinical support is available by phone whenever needed, so the provider is never without backup even while working solo day to day.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner with a positive, engaging personality who is proactive and genuinely enjoys working with children and school-based staff. Beyond direct patient care, the ideal candidate will help identify community health needs, develop educational presentations, and take an active role in health education initiatives within the school. Qualifications:

Active, unrestricted Family Nurse Practitioner certification; current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure; current DEA registration; and the ability to work independently in a low-support clinical setting are required.
