The Jackson County Health Department is seeking a Clinic Nurse Supervisor for it's Commerce location. Under limited supervision, the Clinic Nurse Supervisor would manage the programs, staff, and clinical services of the Jackson County Health Department. Provides professional nursing care in accordance with Northeast Health District nurse protocols, policies, and procedures. Focuses on the prevention of illnesses, injury, or disability, the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations. Identify community partners, providers, and agencies and develops relationships to further public health efforts in the community. Under the direction of the Jackson County Nurse Manager, the Clinic Nurse Supervisor of the Commerce Health Department would work collaboratively with the Jackson County Jefferson Clinic to organize community events and coordinate delivery of health care within the community. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor within the Commerce/Jackson County Health Department at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Leads and manages staff with responsibility for the functioning of assigned nursing care areas during assigned shifts. Provides clinical services to a target population following protocols Chart information regarding patient: progress, diagnoses, medication, symptoms, and observations. Assumes responsibility for administrative decisions and notifies leadership on call when needed in County Nurse Managers absence Provides leadership and creates and maintains a high performance environment Works to continually improve the quality and timeliness of the provided care and services. Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of nursing experience AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification. OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Two years of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
