Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive physical assessments and vital sign monitoring for pediatric patients to evaluate their health status accurately. Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of results. Provide age-appropriate patient care including wound suturing, tube feeding management, ventilator support, and airway management. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with best practices in pediatrics. Educate patients' families on health management, medication administration, developmental milestones, and discharge instructions. Maintain detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Requirements Valid RN license with current registration in the applicable jurisdiction; pediatric nursing certification preferred. Proven experience working with children in clinical settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or pediatric specialty units. Familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures including IV insertion, catheterization, aseptic technique, and suturing. Knowledge of pediatric physiology, growth development stages, and common childhood illnesses. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation and patient tracking. Critical care experience in settings like PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit), or emergency rooms highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively educate families and collaborate with healthcare teams. Ability to work in fast-paced environments requiring triage skills, acute pain management, infection control measures, and trauma medicine expertise.
