Job Description

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Resource Nurse to support high-quality, patient-centered care across our acute care units. In this role, you will serve as a clinical expert and resource for bedside nurses, assisting with complex patient care, mentoring staff, and promoting evidence-based practice. You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, support orientation and ongoing education, and help drive quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Responsibilities Serve as a clinical resource and expert for bedside nurses on acute care units Support complex patient care and assist with rapid assessment and intervention Mentor, coach, and precept nursing staff to build clinical competency Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Promote and model evidence-based practice and adherence to clinical protocols Support orientation and ongoing clinical education for nursing staff Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, including data review and follow-up Assist with policy implementation and workflow improvements on the unit Provide patient and family education on care plans and discharge needs Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation in the EHR Required Skills Patient assessment Care coordination Clinical coaching Electronic health records (EHR) Quality improvement Policy and protocol implementation Interdisciplinary collaboration Data collection and reporting Patient and family education Clinical documentation
