We are looking for an eager and ready to learn Staff Nurse for our Dallas location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide constant evaluation, observation and treatment of patients. Review the patient's chart. Maintain accurate documentation. Assist in the safe transportation and positioning of patients. Assist with the counts and recording of narcotics at the beginning and end of the day. Prepare the operating room. Restock medications and supplies. Check equipment for proper functioning. Administer IV conscious sedation, per policy and physician's orders. Communicate important information to patients, patient's family and staff. Assist with emergencies in the operating room, as per policy. Assist with orientation of new personnel. Perform chart audits for the surgical center. Respect the confidentiality of patient, center and physician related information. Maintain confidentiality of patient records and use complete discretion when discussing patient information. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies Perform other task as assigned by charge nurse, administrator or providers. Work closely with physicians to optimize documentation and explain pre-procedure/discharge instructions Assist with post-operative calls, as required Manage Inventory Document and maintain appropriate work flow in patient's electronic medical records Other duties may be assigned

High school diploma or equivalent required . Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program Must have current GA nursing license, BLS, ACLS and other required training Knowledge of equipment, instrumentation and supplies required to perform specific responsibilities
