The Acute Care Nurse Educator will support inpatient care services across medical surgical, emergency, critical care, and broader inpatient departments. As part of a dynamic acute care environment within a thriving 100-bed facility serving rural communities, this role influences education in high-acuity settings that include advanced orthopedic programs and comprehensive emergency and diagnostic services. With nationally recognized orthopedic excellence and Joint Commission accreditation, the Inpatient Nurse Educator will help maintain rigorous standards across medical-surgical units, emergency services, and critical care areas while advancing clinical competency and quality outcomes.
Reporting to nursing leadership, the Acute Care Nurse Educator collaborates closely with nurse managers, charge nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to design, implement, and evaluate staff development programs. Responsibilities include onboarding and orientation, competency validation, continuing education coordination, policy education, performance improvement initiatives, and serving as a mentor and clinical resource.
