Responsibilities The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Hours:
72 hours per pay period 36 hours/week Shift Times (Rotate between) :
6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
7:15 AM - 4:45 PM
4 days per week (9hour shifts) Regular Schedule
Self-scheduling period: 6-week scheduling cycleo Schedule Submitted by staff o Finalized at least 4 weeks ahead
Staffing balance goal: o 8 RNs per weekday shift, 1 Call RN overnight (14 hours)o 1 Call RN on each weekend day (24hours)
Call Requirements Response Time:
Must be able to report within 1 hour when called in.
Call Rotation:
3 weekday call shifts o Monday-Friday o 5pm-630amo 14-hour overnight call windows
1 weekend call shift o Either Saturday or Sunday o 6:30 AM - 6:30 AM next day o 24-hour call window Holiday Call
Required to take: o 2 holiday call shifts per calendar year o Each is 24 hours Qualifications
REQUIRED
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training. Certified in American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment.
PREFERRED
Minimum of two (2) years' experience involving the treatment of cardiac/critical care patients, ER, ICU and/or Radiology (IR) experience highly preferred. Procedural and/or Emergency Department experience (including pre-op, OR, PACU, Interventional Pain, Endovascular, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and strong IV insertion skills) is easily transferable.
