Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care to pediatric populations, including infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents, ensuring safety and comfort at all times Conduct thorough physical examinations, vital signs assessments, and developmental screenings to inform personalized care plans Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and perform suturing as needed with strict adherence to aseptic techniques and hospital protocols Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation and medical records management Assist with specialized procedures including catheterization, tube feeding management, ventilator support, and neonatal resuscitation procedures Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies tailored for pediatric patients with complex needs such as developmental disabilities or chronic conditions Educate families on health coaching, medication administration, injury prevention, and managing acute pain or infectious disease care at home or in outpatient settings Experience Proven experience working with children in clinical settings such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or community health programs Prior experience in pediatric emergency medicine or ICU settings is highly desirable Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for medical documentation and patient data management Knowledge of pediatric-specific procedures including IV insertion, venipuncture, sterile processing, and airway management Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays enhances your ability to provide holistic care Background in acute care environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or neonatal intensive care units (NICU) is preferred Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required to ensure readiness for emergency response situations Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering exceptional pediatric nursing care!
