Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum 2 years Emergency Department nursing experience; first-time ER nurses are not eligible Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS Stroke and STEMI certification essential Prior exposure to general Emergency Department settings (non-trauma), preferably a very large and busy unit Proficiency with Epic and Pyxis systems

Schedule & Work Details:

Dayshift:

3 x 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00) Weekend shifts: every other weekend required Floating is rare Engagement with major holidays required as outlined, with upfront awareness Approximately 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio caring for 59-bed ER with 165-175 patients daily

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care to adolescent through geriatric emergency cases Assess, triage, and treat a broad range of medical conditions at high acuity levels Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely interventions for stroke and STEMI patients Maintain compliance with clinical standards and hospital protocols Utilize Epic and Pyxis effectively to document and manage patient care
