Job Description

Wellstar Health System is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to provide exceptional patient-centered care across our Georgia facilities. In this role, you'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse patient populations in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, documenting in the EMR, and educating patients and families. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor, interpret, and document patient status and vital signs Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team on plans of care Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality standards and protocols Respond to emergencies and perform basic and advanced nursing interventions Support orientation and mentoring of new nurses or support staff Participate in quality improvement and professional development activities Required Skills Patient assessment IV therapy and venipuncture Medication administration Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Wound care and dressing changes Telemetry and vital sign monitoring Care planning and clinical prioritization Infection control practices Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
