JOB SUMMARY
Under broad supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures. Focuses on the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Under supervision, provide professional nursing care in accordance with established nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures.
  • Provides comprehensive physical assessments for all ages and clinical programs.
  • Participates in drills and exercises on pandemic influenza, mass sheltering, and mass dispensing. Prepare to respond to public health emergencies and respond as directed.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record to accurately document patient care and enter billing information for reimbursement.
  • Administer and dispense medications and vaccines based on nursing assessment according to established nurse protocols.
  • Provides health education to individuals, families, and community partners.
  • Incorporate strategies for interacting with persons from diverse backgrounds, e.g. cultural, socioeconomic educational, racial gender, age, ethnic, sexual orientation, professional, religious affiliation, mental and physical capabilities.
  • Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Serves as mentor for new nurses and/or preceptors for nursing students.
  • May manage specific program activities and/or specific program evaluations.
  • Assist with completing monthly/quarterly reports.
  • May supervise support staff or employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
PH Registered Nurse 1 - Target hire-in salary $59,143.37 Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
Note:
No experience required. PH Registered Nurse 2 - Target hire-in salary $66,351.55 Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR Certification. PH Registered Nurse 3 - Target hire-in salary $73,677.24 Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university AND One year of nursing experience AND current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse AND CPR certification OR Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND Two years of nursing experience AND completion of a PHN course within one year of hire AND current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license AND CPR certification.
  • Salary offered will be based on Education, Experience & Health District Budget
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
