Job Overview Join our dynamic surgical team as a Registered Nurse (PRN), where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care across diverse settings. As an essential member of our healthcare team, you will deliver compassionate care while working within an Ambulatory Surgical Center. Your proactive approach and clinical skills will help us uphold the highest standards of patient-centered care. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed/ordered protocols. Maintain meticulous medical documentation ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and accurate coding using ICD-9/10 and CPT standards for billing purposes. Pre-op preparation for cataract surgery and/or oculoplastic surgery, including eye drop administration, starting IV's, obtaining and verifying accurate medical history, obtaining vitals. Circulation in an ASC OR setting for ophthalmic procedures/cataract surgery. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with current certification to practice in your jurisdiction. CNOR certification not required, but is a plus. Experience in ophthalmic surgical care not required, but is a plus. Proven experience in diverse clinical settings such as surgical care, circulation, and preop/PACU care. Demonstrated ability to perform IV insertions/removals. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and intervention. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly valued. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the surgical team and educate patients on their pre and post operative responsibilities as well as associated restrictions. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment in an ambulatory surgical center setting. environment such as urgent care or hospital emergency rooms; prior ICU or trauma center experience is advantageous.
