Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse (RN), where your expertise will directly impact patient care and recovery. This vital role offers the opportunity to work across diverse clinical settings, from acute hospital environments to long-term care and community-based services. As an RN, you will be at the forefront of delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing care, utilizing your comprehensive knowledge of medical procedures, patient assessment, and healthcare technology. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform personalized care plans. Administer medications and injections with precision, including IV infusions and medication administration tailored to individual needs. Operate advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information accurately and efficiently. Provide specialized care in areas such as ICU, emergency medicine, trauma medicine, cardiology (including catheterization), ophthalmology, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, and infectious disease care. Assist with diagnostic evaluations like laboratory specimen collection/processing, sonography, gastroscopy procedures, and sterile processing for surgical settings. Support complex procedures including suturing, ostomy care, gastric lavage, spinal taps, and ventilator management while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, trauma response, and long-term care strategies to optimize patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical documentation for legal and quality assurance purposes. Engage in health coaching and patient education initiatives to promote wellness and chronic disease management across diverse populations. Requirements Valid RN license in good standing with current state registration. Proven experience in critical care settings such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; hospital medicine or emergency room experience is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for efficient documentation. Hands-on experience with advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, catheterization (urinary or vascular), tube feeding management, and airway management techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology principles for accurate patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation. Experience working in specialized areas such as cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (including laser treatments), dialysis units or hospice & palliative care is a plus. Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or urgent care clinics while maintaining a compassionate approach. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient care.
