9687559-30253 Job Description A unique contract opportunity is available for skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a passion for school nursing. This position involves providing dedicated one-on-one care for a student within a supportive school environment near McDonough, GA. The role requires commitment, confidentiality, and specialized clinical expertise, starting as soon as possible and continuing through mid-December 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications:

Valid and active RN or LPN license in Georgia Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred Comfortable working with non-verbal or limited communication situations Competency in supporting wheelchair-bound students Experience recognizing and responding to seizures Willingness and ability to ride the bus with the student to and from school Professional discretion and sensitivity to delicate situations

Key Responsibilities:

Provide compassionate, attentive care for a student with complex medical needs Assist with toileting, mobility, and daily medical routines Monitor for and manage seizure activity, acting swiftly as needed Clearly and promptly communicate significant observations and interventions to school staff and guardians Accompany the student during transit, ensuring safety and well-being Support the students independence, dignity, and engagement while in the school environment
