Duties Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to pediatric patients' needs Administer medications and treatments, including IV infusions, injections, and specialized procedures such as suturing and catheterization Monitor vital signs, conduct physical examinations, and evaluate patient responses to treatments in real-time Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for acute conditions such as trauma, infectious disease, or chronic illnesses Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner to document medical records accurately and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, imaging procedures like sonography or mammography, and respiratory support such as ventilator management Provide education and emotional support to children and their families about health conditions, medication administration, and post-discharge care Experience Proven experience working with children in diverse healthcare settings such as pediatric units, emergency rooms, ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or neonatal units Strong background in pediatric-specific procedures including neonatal resuscitation procedures, airway management, tube feeding, and aseptic technique Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner along with medical coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate documentation Prior experience managing acute pain and providing palliative or hospice care for pediatric patients is highly desirable Knowledge of developmental disabilities care, behavioral health considerations, and memory or dementia care in pediatric populations is a plus Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers or hospital medicine environments enhances your ability to respond effectively in emergency situations Additional experience in medical-surgical nursing, home & community care, or outpatient clinics will strengthen your candidacy Join us as a Pediatric Registered Nurse to bring your expertise into a nurturing environment where every child's health journey is supported with compassion and precision.
