Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Step into an essential nursing role focused on delivering high-quality care within a Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for compassionate, skilled Registered Nurses who are passionate about supporting patients with complex health needs as they transition between levels of care.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current, unrestricted RN license At least one year of recent experience in a Stepdown or PCU setting Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills BLS and ACLS certifications (required) Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct, vigilant care to patients requiring close monitoring as they stabilize from critical conditions Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to execute tailored care plans Monitor patient status, recognize early signs of complications, and intervene accordingly Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced nursing procedures as needed Educate patients and their families about treatment, recovery, and discharge planning Accurately document care, assessments, and patient progress in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards The contract length offers a valuable way to gain experience and make a difference in a dynamic healthcare setting.
