Job Description

Wellstar Health System is seeking an RN Acute Care nurse to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care on our acute care units. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and provide education to patients and families. Responsibilities include medication administration, monitoring complex clinical conditions, using advanced technology and EMR systems, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols, and participating in quality improvement. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for acute care patients. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with provider orders and hospital protocols. Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and respond promptly to changes in condition. Document care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and maintain regulatory compliance. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care plans. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans. Ensure a safe environment by following infection prevention, fall reduction, and safety protocols. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects. Support and mentor new team members and contribute to a culture of compassion and teamwork. Engage in ongoing professional development and training offered by Wellstar Health System.
