Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Discover an impactful opportunity as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room for a three-month contract at an ambulatory surgery center. This assignment offers a consistent daytime schedule with no weekend or holiday shifts required, starting July 6. You will be an essential part of a skilled surgical team, providing focused patient care in a high-volume outpatient setting.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM No weekends or holidays
Desired Background:
Current RN license with experience in Operating Room settings (OR/Perioperative) History of excelling in dynamic environments—outpatient clinics, urgent care, ambulatory surgery centers, or emergency departments strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to lead during medical emergencies and respond rapidly to changing situations Strong commitment to patient safety, with thorough knowledge of sterilization procedures and surgical protocols Adaptable, reliable, and able to manage or assist with patient volumes of up to 90 daily
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care to perioperative patients, working seamlessly with surgical teams Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures, precisely documenting care and observations Maintain exceptional sterility of surgical environment and ensure all protocols are followed Respond promptly to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care as needed Foster effective communication between clinical staff and patients
