On-call:

0-3 times per month (8-hour night and 24-hour weekends/holidays) Travel assignment in a hospital setting; unit coverage includes PACU and ASU Responsibilities Provide care for patients in preoperative, Phase I and Phase II recovery after surgery Monitor vital signs, airway status, incision sites, temperature, and overall stability; identify potential complications Assess pain control, fluid status and perfusion; respond to deterioration and escalate as needed Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to optimize recovery pathways Manage equipment and supplies (e.g., Meditech documentation, PCA pumps, Pyxis, IV pumps, Cryocuff, SCDs, warming devices) and ensure patient safety during recovery Document assessments, interventions and patient progress; communicate changes to the care team and coordinate transfers as appropriate Requirements Hawaii RN license active by start of assignment; if not currently in possession, apply upon acceptance BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association; PALS recommended and may be required for specific positions 2+ years of experience as a critical care RN (ER or ICU) in a hospital setting; may substitute for PACU experience Valid professional license in the state of practice Ability to work in a
