1 Description American Traveler is hiring a
RN - PACU
with an active HI license and 2+ years of critical care or PACU experience for a 13-week assignment. Details Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) caring for patients pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery Uses equipment including Meditech, PCA Pumps, Pyxis, Braun IV Pumps, Cryocuff, SCDs, Bair Paws Warmers, and HP/Phillips Monitors Variable shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours across Days, Evenings, Nights, and Weekends/Holidays with no guarantee of hours or shift preference May float between ASU and PACU units On-call requirement of 0-3 times per month, including 8-hour night shifts and 24-hour weekend/holiday shifts Requirements Active HI RN license required by start of assignment Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association 2+ years of experience as a critical care RN (ER or ICU) accepted as a substitute for PACU experience PALS certification recommended and may be required for specific positions Additional specialty certifications such as NIHSS or TNCC preferred and may be required for specific positions Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required prior to contract start Additional Information Provide advanced post-anesthesia nursing care, including monitoring incision sites, body temperature, and other indicators of patient stability or complications Prior experience in critical care and surgical nursing is a plus Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start for clearance appointment, typically scheduled the Friday before a Monday start Flu vaccination can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment
