With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology. Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement. At Straub's Outpatient Treatment Center, board-certified physicians evaluate and treat all types of cancer and blood disorders and patients can receive blood transfusions, chemotherapy, nutritional support, antibiotics and other IV therapy. Our Certified Oncology Nurses are experienced in providing education and emotional support to patients and their families. The Straub Cancer Center consists of board certified physicians, nurses, registered dietitians, outpatient and inpatient staff and a quality of life professional. In addition to treatment and therapy, the Center offers family education and support group sessions to help patients and their families cope with these challenging situations. As a Registered Nurse in our Outpatient Treatment Center, you will have the opportunity to provide professional and compassionate nursing services to the Straub community through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of patient care. You will also function as an associate to a charge nurse and begin to assume charge nurse responsibilities with time. We are looking for someone with excellent patient care and communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Nursing Minimum Qualifications:
Current Hawai'i Registered Nurse License. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Active Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and/or Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Card (ONS/ONCC). One (1) year recent experience in administration of chemotherapy in an ambulatory infusion unit and/or inpatient unit.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field. Two (2) years recent experience in administration of chemotherapy in an ambulatory infusion unit and/or inpatient unit and med/surg experience. Chemotherapy certification and Medical/Surgical experience. Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CPR cards.
