Job Description

Luther Manor is currently seeking Registered Nurse (RN). The primary purpose of your job position is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during your tour of duty. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Currently have a sign on bonus.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that a sufficient number of certified nursing assistants are available to ensure that routine nursing care is provided to meet the daily nursing care needs of each resident. Develop work assignments, and/or assist in completing and performing such tasks. Delegate to each Charge Nurse the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to perform his/her assigned duties. Make daily rounds of the nursing service department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards. Report findings to the Director. Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures governing accidents and incidents. Provide direct nursing care as necessary.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LPN/LVN in this state. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Experience Entry Level (0-2 years)
