Schedule:

Every other weekend, rotating holidays

Fairfield, IA Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 13-week contract assignment. In this role, you will plan and provide direct care to patients in an acute emergency setting using the nursing process—assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs. You will also lead patient education and guide ancillary staff while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice. Key Responsibilities Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and critical interventions in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Direct and coordinate activities of support and ancillary nursing personnel. Educate patients and their families regarding medical conditions, discharge instructions, and health maintenance. Document patient records accurately and efficiently using the Epic EMR system.

Qualifications & Requirements Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Licensure:

Active Iowa RN License (or compact equivalent).

Certifications Required:

Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Experience:

1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required

Mandatory Certification:

Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certificates for Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse (or completion of required training modules prior to start).

Pay:

$2,200.00 - $2,548.00 per week
