Responsibilities Provide direct emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced ER setting Triage patients, perform rapid assessments, and implement evidence-based interventions Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency treatments per physician orders and protocols Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient responses to treatment Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans Educate patients and families on condition, treatments, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation and adhere to all hospital policies Follow infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures Support traveling team flexibility by adapting quickly to new workflows and systems Precept or support other nurses as needed to maintain high standards of care Required Skills Emergency nursing Patient triage IV insertion and management Cardiac rhythm interpretation ACLS protocols PALS or TNCC protocols Electronic health records (EHR) Medication administration Wound care and suturing support Infection control procedures
