Job Description

SCHEDULE
Full-time; 36 hours per week; 11:00 am - 11:00 pm; Weekdays will vary; Every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) The RN utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct quality patient care. He/she directs and provides patient/family teaching. The RN provides leadership when working with health team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Previous ER or Med/Surg experience required. Current Iowa license. Graduate from an approved professional Nursing Program. BLS and ACLS required. TNCC preferred. PALS Preferred. NRB preferred. Takes responsibility for pursuit of continuing education. The RN completes admission assessments and documentation. Appropriate assessments/reassessments completed with documentation. Initiates and individualizes care plans on admission. Provides and documents a variety of patients. Provides age-appropriate care. Functions appropriately in emergency situations.
