A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

Schedule:
Part Time, 24 hours per week, 8 hour shifts with flexible schedules from 0500-0730 start times and late day coverage. Days of the week will vary depending on the surgery schedule and staff needs. 1 day of call per week and call every 6th weekend. 1 holiday per year. This position is responsible for clinical functions of the ASC and PACU areas and provides care for the surgical patients in accordance with hospital and departmental standards and policies. Registered Nurse currently licensed to practice in state of Iowa Two (2) or more years of experience in surgical and/or intensive care nursing preferred BLS certification required ACLS certification required PACU nurses will be certified in pediatric advanced life support (PALS) Child and Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter Training required
