What Were Looking For:

Active Iowa RN or LPN license required Experience in pediatric, school-based, or community nursing preferred Confidence in providing direct care to medically complex students, including those who are non-verbal and need tube feeding Reliable, compassionate care combined with excellent communication skills Comfortable working independently within the school setting Ability to build relationships with students, families, and staff

What Youll Do:

Provide coverage for a long-term maternity leave (MarchMay) for the school nurse Deliver full 1:1 nursing care for a student with special medical needs from February through June, supporting daily activities such as mobility, feeding, and communication Administer medication, respond to health emergencies, and maintain health records for the assigned caseload Promote student health through education and advocacy in collaboration with educators and families Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all students Work on one campus with a manageable caseload focused on quality care
