1 Description American Traveler is hiring an ER RN with 2+ years of experience and required ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications for a fast-paced emergency department setting. Details Work in the Emergency Department of a community hospital General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients Patient ratios of 1:1-2 Day shift schedule (3x12 hours) from 10:00-22:00 Required to work every third weekend No on-call responsibilities No floating required Altera charting experience preferred Requirements Active RN license (IA state license with 6-8 week turnaround or compact license in-hand at time of consideration) Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (NIHSS preferred) Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required Community hospital experience preferred At least 2 professional references within 3 years of start date required for consideration Additional Information Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases Skilled in triage, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias Experience with procedures such as EKG/ECG acquisition, splinting, and isolation precautions First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same rate Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 6-month separation Required certifications must be obtained prior to start date No RTO permitted during the first week of the contract
