A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.
Walsh ET Services is an established, growing wound, ostomy and continence care nursing practice serving patients across Northwest Iowa and Southwest Minnesota. We partner with hospitals, long-term care facilities, home health care agencies and other healthcare settings to provide compassionate, evidence-based specialty care. We're looking for an exceptional Registered Nurse (BSN, RN) who is passionate about patient care, enjoys building relationships, and is excited to grow into a highly specialized nursing role. Build a Specialty Career This position is designed for an RN who is interested in becoming a Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) Nurse. The selected candidate will complete an accredited WOC Nursing Education Program, which is self-paced and typically takes approximately four to ten months to complete. This includes online coursework and supervised clinical practicum experiences. Upon successful completion of the program, you'll transition into providing specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care as part of our clinical team.
What You'll Do:
Provide specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care in a variety of healthcare settings. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and facility staff. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop evidence-based treatment recommendations. Educate patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation. Travel between healthcare facilities within our service area.
