Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, and medication reconciliation to develop individualized care plans. Monitor patient progress and respond swiftly to medical emergencies using CPR, and emergency response procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Records systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Educate patients and families on disease management, medication administration, wound care, and health promotion strategies. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals in clinical interprofessional teams to optimize patient care plans. Ensure compliance with all health regulations, nursing policies, State Board of Nursing standards, and Anatomy and Physiology knowledge requirements. Skills Strong nursing background in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, or post-acute care environments. Expertise in infectious disease care, urgent care procedures, outpatient clinics, school clinics, or sub-acute care settings. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and medical records management. Skilled in patient assessment techniques including vital signs measurement and physiological monitoring. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for maintaining patient confidentiality and handling sensitive medical information securely. Ability to perform injections, venipuncture, first aid procedures, CPR operations confidently. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, medication administration protocols, and clinical interprofessional collaboration. Demonstrated ability to handle manual handling tasks safely while complying with health and safety standards. Excellent communication skills for parent education in pediatric or school settings; adept at managing patient care across diverse populations including geriatrics.
