Responsibilities Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse adult patient population Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor vitals, and recognize changes in condition Administer IV and oral medications safely and accurately, including titrating drips per protocol Deliver wound care, post-operative care, and support for chronic and acute conditions Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to abnormal findings Document care, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and timely Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interprofessional team on individualized care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital policies while maintaining high patient care standards Adapt quickly to new units, workflows, and charting systems as a travel nurse Required Skills Medical-surgical nursing Patient assessment IV therapy and medication administration Telemetry monitoring Wound care Electronic health records (EHR) documentation Care planning and coordination Patient and family education Infection control Time management
