Job Description

Seeking Registered Nurse to Join the Idaho Eye and Laser Center team. The main focus of the position will be on perioperative nursing care in an outpatient setting. In this role you will be providing direct patient care in a variety of ophthalmic and refractive surgical cases including cataract surgery, LASIK, lid procedures and more. Experience in an outpatient setting and operating room experience preferred. Travel to the surrounding Idaho Eye Center locations may be necessary for staffing equality and training.
Job Responsibilities:
Delivery of quality patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. This position is responsible for using sound judgment, interpersonal communication skills and critical thinking skills, and can check and evaluate the patient's needs, ensuring a positive outcome. Gather supplies and equipment for surgical cases. Prepare surgery room for surgical procedures. Circulate in OR for surgical procedures. Complete documentation in a clear, concise manner according to policy. Record all information correctly and accurately on patient's chart. Pre-operative nursing calls for every patient including med. rec and allergy documentation Qualifications Registered Nurse candidates must have successfully completed an accredited nursing program. Must have a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Idaho All candidates must have current BLS and ACLS certifications from an American Heart Association accredited course. IV start proficiency.
