Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Home Infusion Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in a home setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various nursing specialties, including critical care, infusion therapy, and chronic disease management. This role offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The Home Infusion RN will be responsible for administering medications, managing complex medical devices, and educating patients and their families on treatment plans, ensuring safety and compliance with healthcare standards. Duties Administer IV infusions, medications, and injections following prescribed protocols while maintaining aseptic technique. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs before, during, and after infusion, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations. Manage and troubleshoot medical devices, PICC and peripheral lines, and infusion pumps. Perform specimen collection, processing, and laboratory testing as required. Educate patients and caregivers on medication administration, device usage, infection control practices, and disease processes. Document all patient interactions accurately using provided charting. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards during all patient interactions. Coordinate care planning and collaborate with healthcare teams across various settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and home care environments. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in infusion therapy, infectious disease care, and other specialties. Skills Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Idaho Proficient and timely documentation. 1 year experience in ICU, ER, or home infusion. Strong IV insertion, subq injection, port access, lab draws, and PICC line dressing abilities. Current driver's license and ability to travel around the Indianapolis area. Competence in infection control practices and sterile processing techniques. Excellent communication skills for patient education across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatric, and individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized home & community care.
