Schedule:

12-hour day shifts Every other weekend required Holiday coverage No on-call Up to 16 hours of orientation (with partial compensation) Float opportunities to additional specialty ICUs for expanded learning

Qualifications:

3+ years of CVICU nursing experience Recent, passing EKG test (80%+) Active Illinois RN license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certification Experience working with cardiac support devices (Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, CVVHD/CRRT) Advanced skills in dysrhythmia interpretation/management, multi-system organ failure, thermoregulation, and post-surgical cardiac care Epic EMR experience preferred Charge nurse experience highly valued Submission of a current resume, recent CVICU skills checklist, and professional reference required

Responsibilities:

Deliver expert, compassionate care to critical cardiovascular patients Monitor and manage invasive lines, hemodynamic devices, and life-sustaining therapy Collaborate with a multidisciplinary ICU team and float as needed for broader clinical exposure
