Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their health and wellness needs in a dynamic therapeutic day school environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Certified School Nurse (CSN) with a Professional Educator License (PEL), looking for a flexible schedule and the chance to work in a specialized educational setting. As an onsite nurse in a supportive and collaborative team, you'll work hands-on with students who require a higher level of behavioral and emotional support than public school settings can provide. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring these students can thrive academically, socially, and physically.
Key Qualifications:
Active Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred Strong communication and advocacy skills Capacity to handle varying behavioral and emotional support needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide health assessments, interventions, and care for students with diverse needs Collaborate with educational and therapeutic staff to develop and implement individualized health care plans Support crisis intervention and participate in the development of safety protocols Document health records and maintain compliance with school, state, and federal requirements Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding student health and wellness concerns
