Night Differential:
$4.00/hr
Weekend Differential:
$3.25/hr
Overview:
Family Birthing Center:
Number of beds on unit : 12 Patient Population/type of patients cared for on unit : OB patients, including OR circulation and post-op recovery, Level 2 nursery, and OB ED Nurse to patient ratios : variable depending on patient type Nursing skills/equipment used : ACLS and NRP will be required once working, Level 2 nursery education provided Weekend/holiday or call schedules or any other scheduling items : Weekend and holiday requirements (every third weekend and three holidays per year) Other relevant information: this is an LDRP, so caring for patients through all stages of delivery to discharge
POSITION SUMMARY
Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
License/Certifications:
Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan) Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
