Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified School Nurse (CSN) to provide comprehensive school health services for the 2026-2027 school year in Broadview, Illinois. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity to support student health, wellness, and academic success while collaborating with a multidisciplinary educational team.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing services to students in accordance with state regulations and district policies. Assess, monitor, and address student health needs, including chronic and acute medical conditions. Develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and collaborate on 504 Plans and IEPs as needed. Administer medications and perform health-related procedures in compliance with physician orders and school guidelines. Maintain accurate health records and documentation. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, families, and community healthcare professionals. Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions. Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.

Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Nurse endorsement or Illinois Certified School Nurse credential. Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Previous school-based nursing experience preferred. Knowledge of pediatric health practices, special education services, and student health regulations. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Commitment to supporting the health and well-being of diverse student populations.
