Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and staff for a full school year! This full-time role is ideal for a caring, reliable Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified School Nurse (CSN) who wants to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting. Located near Coal City, IL, this position allows you to collaborate with dedicated educators and families, enhancing the well-being and safety of children throughout their school experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Active RN or LPN license in Illinois CSN certification a plus Background in pediatrics, community health, or school nursing CPR and First Aid certification (current) Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills Ability to respond calmly to emergencies and prioritize student care Flexibility and professionalism in a dynamic school environment
Key Duties:
Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration, first aid, and chronic health management Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students with medical needs Serve as a health resource for students, staff, and families, offering screening and wellness education Maintain clear and confidential health records, tracking compliance and reporting as needed Collaborate with educators, counselors, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support Respond to health-related emergencies and participate in crisis management protocols Enjoy the chance to build lasting connections and promote a healthy school environment while gaining valuable experience in school healthcare.
