This rewarding position is located near Des Plaines, IL, with service beginning late October and continuing through the end of the school year. Your clinical expertise will directly support a young learners day-to-day school experience, offering essential tracheostomy and ventilator care both on campus and during transportation. Qualifications & Experience:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois Prior experience in school-based or pediatric nursing roles Proficient in tracheostomy and ventilator management Comfortable providing care on the school bus alongside staff and student Compassionate, dependable, and patient-oriented approach Ability to work cohesively with educators, therapists, and family members CPR/BLS certification is required

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 nursing support to a medically fragile student during the school day and while riding the bus Monitor and manage trach and vent care, promptly addressing any changes or emergencies Collaborate with classroom staff to adapt care plans as needed Ensure the health and safety of the student at all times Maintain clear, accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents Act as a liaison with parents, school staff, and healthcare providers This unique opportunity offers an hourly rate around $40, reflective of your specialized skills.
