Qualifications RN License Full Job Description Position:

RN SANE Adult, providing specialized care for sexual assault patients in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

Conduct physical and forensic assessments, collect evidence with proper chain of custody, document findings, and facilitate appropriate treatment. Offer patient education on exams, procedures, STD and pregnancy prevention, and follow-up care. Coordinate with law enforcement and advocacy groups while ensuring privacy and confidentiality. Participate in community and professional education, and provide legal testimony as needed.

Qualifications:

Completion of IAFN-accredited SANE A course with Illinois clinical components. Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with experience in Emergency Medicine or women's health, and at least one year as a SANE RN. Current Illinois RN licensure and ability to practice in Illinois required.
