Brightstar Care of Orland Park/Will County is looking for a home care nurse that is ready to make a difference in people's lives. We are a private duty home care agency that genuinely cares about our patients and we have immediate openings in the Cook and Will County areas for compassionate pediatric nurses. We are looking to hire a Registered Nurse (RN) for a pediatric private duty case in Grant Park, IL . Nurse must be willing to attend school with child as their 1:1 during school year. Care is for a 6-year-old male with complex medical needs including G-Tube and Trach care. Needed shifts are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8am-4pm (longer shifts may be available). Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year Pediatric nursing/special needs experience
• Unencumbered license as a RN in the state of Illinois
• Certified CPR -IL Mandated Reporter -TB skin test, annual physical
• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull.

Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients during shifts, ensuring their comfort and safety. Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs, administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Tube feeding, trach suctioning and vent monitoring, as needed. (case by case scenario) Maintain accurate patient records (Notes and charting) Respond promptly to emergencies, utilizing basic life support skills and airway management techniques.
